A Brief Introduction
CURRENTLY WORKING ON: The Tower (final manuscript read/edit)
CURRENTLY READING: On Writing by Stephen King | Game of Thrones Book 3
I won't lie to you, this is going to be the first, of a few I promise, blog post that will have little of substance to it. It won't help you much. So if you want to skip it, I won't judge. It's simply an introduction to me, why I'm launching In First Person, and what I hope will happen with it.
You're here for one of a few reasons.
The first is that I Tweeted about a post, and you thought it might be interesting and gave it a go, and maybe you enjoyed it so much that you wanted to read more.
Or maybe my SEO has worked, and you've been trying to find more information on a certain topic, most likely having to do with the voyage of becoming a full-time writer, and I hope that what you read helps you in your journey.
A third may be that I've finally made it big time (some day!) and you're interested in learning how I did it.
I'm sure there are others, but whatever your reason is, I'm happy you're here. Stay a while. Follow the blog. Sign up for updates. Come see me again.
This leads me to why I'm launching In First Person. There's four main reasons. I'll keep them short. I needed to start a writer's blog for marketing purposes. I want to document my journey, and I hope that by doing so, I'll look back one day and appreciate the work that went into pursuing my dream relentlessly. I want to share what I learn with other writers.
Most importantly, it'll give me a space to rant.
Welcome. Let's begin. Next up: On Querying.
